Gareth Marshall looks at how the relationship between business and education has developed and how they now benefit the modern executive.

An MBA has always been seen as the first step on the path to corporate success but in these difficult economic conditions how does it fare? As business slows and companies go through organisational changes, business schools the world over get ready for a boost in numbers both from companies sending their talented people on courses to hone their skills and individuals using their redundancy package to fund their own studies. The UK’s Manchester Business School Worldwide has taken the MBA one step further and offers Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) courses, and Director met with CEO Nigel Banister to find out what the courses offer Thai students.
